CC creams which means colour correct, is the more refined, sophisticated sister of the BB cream. As with the BB cream, the CC cream gained popularity in Asia, spilled over into Europe and exploded in North America.
So how is this little miracle in a bottle different from last year's wonder child the BB cream? As the name implies, CC creams has more colour pigment so are better at evening out the skin tone. It has the same benefits as the BB cream including the high SPF and ingredients designed to nourish and correct certain skin condition such as hydration, blemish repair and some even contain Vitamin C that builds collagen. Also, look for CC creams to come in a wider array of skin tones to better match especially darker skin tones.
BB or CC cream is not a replacement for any of your skin care products. They do provide skin care benefits but should not be used in place of. Cleanse and moisturize as usual then add your CC cream in place of your regular foundation. They do have the added SPF but if your formula has lower than 30 SPF, an additional SPF of 30 or higher should be used after moisturizer followed by the CC cream.
