When Make Up Forever announced (I heard via social media) that they were revamping their eyeshadows to celebrate their 30 year anniversary, as a blogger I was very intrigued but also chalked it up as just another eye shadow craze. I mean, an eye shadow palette is released every day it seems. This quickly changed when I got the chance to swatch these beauties and get to actually witness the vibrancy and uniqueness of these colours when they were released at Sephora. I mean, I have (probably) every eyeshadow palette of modern times in addition to all the MAC's and most recently Makeupgeek. There comes a point when you have to say to yourself, how many eyeshadows does one need, really? Oh but boy are these different! I mean, really. The shades are so unique and as you can see, on this buying trip (there will be others for colours) I went for the neutrals because even though I have a lot of neutral palettes, I seem to have nothing like these. The shades are incredibly vibrant but not so much it that makes them hard to build on. They blend very easily which make them user friendly for the everyday woman yet still give the seasoned artist the intense pigmentation they crave.
Textures
They come in 5 different textures: Mattes (M), Irridescent (I), Diamond (D), Satin (S) and Metallic (ME)
Price
These are a little (well a lot) more pricey coming in at $24 each (Cnd), 2 for $38 and 3 for $50 but very well worth it. Especially when you realize they they are almost twice the size of say MAC eyeshadows.

The shadows come in individual containers but not meant to be a permanent home |
