MAKE UP FOREVER ARTIST SHADOW MAKEUP LOOK

Can you guys tell how much I'm loving these eyeshadows. They are truly amazeballs!
This is a neutral look I did with some of the shades I got. Check out my initial review here and you'll see which palette I used for this look.

MAKE UP FOREVER ARTIST SHADOW

When Make Up Forever announced (I heard via social media) that they were revamping their eyeshadows to celebrate their 30 year anniversary, as a blogger I was very intrigued but also chalked it up as just another eye shadow craze. I mean, an eye shadow palette is released every day it seems. This quickly changed when I got the chance to swatch these beauties and get to actually witness the vibrancy and uniqueness of these colours when they were released at Sephora. I mean, I have (probably) every eyeshadow palette of modern times in addition to all the MAC's and most recently Makeupgeek. There comes a point when you have to say to yourself, how many eyeshadows does one need, really? Oh but boy are these different! I mean, really. The shades are so unique and as you can see, on this buying trip (there will be others for colours) I went for the neutrals because even though I have a lot of neutral palettes, I seem to have nothing like these. The shades are incredibly vibrant but not so much it that makes them hard to build on. They blend very easily which make them user friendly for the everyday woman yet still give the seasoned artist the intense pigmentation they crave.

Textures
They come in 5 different textures: Mattes (M), Irridescent (I), Diamond (D), Satin (S) and Metallic (ME)

Price
These are a little (well a lot) more pricey coming in at $24 each (Cnd), 2 for $38 and 3 for $50 but very well worth it. Especially when you realize they they are almost twice the size of say MAC eyeshadows.

The shadows come in individual containers but not meant to be a permanent home

MAKEUP GEEK BLUSH REVIEW

So I was able to get my hands on some of Makeup Geek's blushes since they've been sold out since launching a few weeks ago. IF you guys are not familiar with this brand, then hop over to Youtube and get to know the person behind this additive makeup brand. Here are my two favs from the collection.

Love Affair & Summer Fling

Love Affair is a pinky corally shade that is the brightest shade of the collection. It is extremely pigmented so a little goes a very long way. It is a matte texture that is buttery but can be a little powdery. This is a shade that will fit the fairest to the deepest of skin tones so a very safe purchase.

Summer Fling is set to be the most popular blush for the entire line of blushes released by Makeup Geek. It is that pretty! It is the perfect peachy orangey blush that will look great on most skin tones especially if you are working with a tan. A little goes a long way but these blushes are definitely easy to work with.
