3 LOOKS USING UD NAKED 3 PALETTE

I recorded this video about 2 weeks ago but have been having the hardest time uploading to Youtube. I have reedited the video about three times including the voiceover and I was this close to giving up but I had invested so much time already recording and editing that I just could not give up. Well, persistence paid off and here it is.

When I said I like this palette I was not kidding! Honestly, I wish I could have done more looks but I have other palette that are competing for my attention so until I give those some love, these three in addition to my other look already posted will have to do.

LOOK #1

Lips: Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 101 with no name dark purple lip liner

LOOK #2

Lips: MAC Honeylove lipstick and Hover Lipliner

LOOK #3

Lips: MAC Honeylove lipstick, Hover lipliner & Myth lipglass

NARS GUY BOURDIN ONE NIGHT STAND SWATCHES

I am so excited about this palette that I don't where to begin. First, Nars released a similar palette called the Danmari 2 years ago that I kicked myself for not getting. Why? Just like this palette, it contained 4 blushes, one highlighter and a bronzer. The shades included in that palette however were all from their permanent line so if you were already a fan of Nars blushes, chances are you would have already had one or even all 6 of these shades. Now comes the One Night Stand palette. It also comes with 4 blushes, an highlighter and a bronzer. Unlike the Danmari palette, this set comes with 3 new shades, Goulue, Devotee and Mistinguette as well as 3 original shades which are Laguna bronzer, Orgasm blush and Deep Throat Blush. Each Nars blush is 0.16 oz and cost about $32 each. The size of each shade in the One Night Stand is 0.14 oz each and at $68 would mean that for the cost of about 2 full size Nars blushes you are getting 6 shades that are only 12% smaller than their full size blushes.  Steal! The palette is now sold out at Sephora and Sephora.com but can be purchased on Ebay from a number of suppliers for slightly higher than it was in store.

SMASHBOX FULL EXPOSURE REVIEW & SWATCHES

So I'm a little late in posting this but with the holidays in full swing and being the host of Christmas dinner for our family this year, it has been hectic to say the least. Anyhow, the holidays is a time of togetherness and sharing so I think this is one of two palettes that I am the most excited about from the holiday palettes. The first is the Smashbox Full Exposure palette that boasts 7 shimmer shades and 7 matte shades all arranged in a neat, no guess work needed way. This palette is very user friendly as the video below demonstrates and I think it would be a great addition or a stand alone palette. The shadows are extremely versatile, making going from daytime to nighttime very easy. It retails for $58 at Sephora which makes each shadow cost about $4.14 which is more reasonable than even drugstore brands. The palette also comes with a pro size dual ended eyeshadow brush and a deluxe sample of Full Exposure Mascara.

Colors are swatched over Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer dry. I had absolutely no fallout from the glitter so I would recommend using a eye primer before applying the shadows. To intensify the shimmery/glitter colours, mist brush with water or makeup setting spray

RIRI HEARTS MAC HOLIDAY COLLECTION

The packaging is very similar to the fall collection exception this one is white. Still enough to make you wanna buy it for the packaging alone. Am I the only one who loves a great package?
So the RiRi Hearts MAC collab continues with the holiday collection. Even though I told myself not to get caught up in the hype this time, though I liked the fall collection, I still went out and grabbed a few items from the collection. I knew I wanted the two new lipsticks that were released with this collection (the third is Ririwoo which is released in all the collections) but when I saw the bronzer in person I couldn't resist. I mean, look at it!

Love, Rihanna Bronzing Powder
The first swatch which is pretty much invisible on my skintone is on the left, center is the bronze R only and the one of the right is both mixed together.
Bad Girl RiRi

Bad Girl RiRi is a more mauve 'pinkish' version of fall's Nude

Pleasure Bomb
This is def the star of the holiday collection

The lipsticks are both mattes but are definitely creamier than the Retro Mattes from the fall collection so very winter friendly on the lips if you exfoliate and moisterize lips before applying.

URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 MAKEUP TUTORIAL

URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 PALETTE INITIAL REVIEW

The moment I saw the picture on Instagram of the new UD Naked 3 palette I must admit I let out a little squeal. Having already owned both 1 & 2 UD Naked palettes, the initial thought is to question how this palette would be different from all others. Well, quite different actually. The 12 shades in this palette are all blush toned inspired from the lightest blush to rose golds to mauves, deep taupes and ending with a blackened golden pink blush. This palette was designed to tickle a girl's beauty fancy.

The front of the box gives a good replication of the colours of the shadows inside
The back of the box shows the brush that is also included in addition to 4 UD Primer Potion sample pics

The package of the UD Naked 3 is similar to the Naked 2  which is metal with a rose gold colour

Yes the colours are gorgeous to look at but when swatched looks even more beautiful on the skin. Some of the colours did come off a little flakey or powdery such a DUST and BUZZ but that also means the pigmentation can be intensive if applied with a heavy hand.

Strange- light creamy colour with a hint of blush with a velvety finish
Dust- Light blush with lots of sparkle similar to a pressed pigment
Burnout- Shimmery mix of gold and blush
Limit- Matt light mauve
Buzz- Shimmery deep mauve
Trick- True rose gold colour that is shimmery (fav 1)
Nooner- Deep matt mauve
Liar- Similar to Trick in texture and colour only darker and more blush toned (fav 2)
Factory- Deep bronze with slight hint of sparkles with pronounced blush tone (fav 3)
Mugshot- Deep taupey bronze with shimmery texture
Darkside- Deep dark taupe
Blackheart- Black base with rose gold flecks throughout

Strange   Dust  Burnout  Limit  Buzz  Trick  Nooner  Liar  Factory  Mugshot  Darkside  Blackheart

Primer Potion Package
Primer Potion Formulas in Original, Eden, Sin and Anti-Aging

I think these sample of all the primer potions that Urban Decay sells are pretty generous

The palette also comes with a two ended brush that has a flat blender side and a flat end to apply shadows to the lid
Conclusion
I definitely wouldn't classify this palette as a must have but more of a nice to have. The colours have amazing payoff but can come off a little flaky. I swatched all the colours over the original primer potion so I would recommend using the bases included in the palette for better colour payoff and staying power. I also would not recommend this palette to a beginner unless they have the original Naked palette which can be used for everyday makeup uses. Lastly, with all the naked palettes, my one complaint would be to include more mattes. At least one more would have been great to deepen the crease instead of a shimmery deep colour.
